2020 Antica Foresta, Tè Nero Invecchiato Essiccato Al Sole (Shai Hong)
Il nostro Shai Hong invecchiato è un tè nero essiccato al sole unico con uno squisito aroma di frutta matura, bacche e gelatina di erbe con sottili note di incenso. Utilizza le foglie di tè selvatiche raccolte dall'antico giardino del tè a Jingmai, Yunnan.
Rispetto ad altri tè neri essiccati al sole, il nostro Shai Hong ha un profilo aromatico più complesso, che ti intratterrà per molte sessioni di tè a venire. È anche meno aggressivo e non così fumoso come molti altri Shai Hong in circolazione. La consistenza è meravigliosamente densa e liscia e offre una sensazione in bocca eccezionale.

How to Steep
How to Steep
Western method
Infuse 3 grams of Shai Hong black tea with 500ml water at a temperature of 90ºC and steep for 40 seconds. For a second steep increase the steeping time to 1 minute.
Traditional method
Infuse 5 grams of sun-dried black tea with 100ml water at 90ºC and apply a steeping time of 5 seconds for the first 5 steeps. Afterwards, gradually increase the steeping time as you see fit.
Cold-brewing
For cold-brewing you may use a bottle, jug, teapot or any brewing vessel that has a lid. Use 8 grams of tea per 500ml of cold water. Cover the brewing vessel with a lid, and store in the fridge for 5-6 hours.

Our design work is inspired by the artwork “Along the River During the Qingming Festival” by the Zhang Zeduan in the Song Dynasty. Instead of displaying the daily lives of people in the capital of China (as the original artwork), we display the tea making process of farmers through the same bird’s eye perspective.
When examining our packaging design in detail, tea enthusiasts will observe the tea making process, featuring tea farmers picking, drying, rolling, and frying tea leaves. The tea is then tasted in a pavilion and transported by horses along the ‘ancient tea road’.
Together, the traditional Chinese landscape and tea making theme, symbolise heritage, tradition, and respect for hard work of tea farmers.
