This tea cake is made from 2012 leaves harvested in Bingdao village (Bangma Mountain), which were carefully aged for nine years before being pressed in 2021, resulting in a refined and nuanced character. It's the tea for those who are looking for a delicate, clean and smooth tasting pu erh tea, which isn't overly sweet.

Bingdao, Bangma Mountain

Sourced from the high tea mountain of Bangma in the Mengku area of the Lincang tea region, this cake benefits from an origin renowned for its ancient tea trees. Bangma Mountain rises 3,200 meters above sea level and is enveloped in mist. These factors, combined with a high annual rainfall, create an ideal environment for tea plants to grow and flourish. To learn more about the Mengku region and its tea, read our complete guide.

A Smooth Tea

This ripe pu erh cake boasts a high content of golden buds, with a 1 bud and 2 leaves picking standard. The cake is neatly shaped and offers a sweet profile and a distinctive aroma that fills the palate. The tea liquor has a vibrant, deep red hue and is pleasantly thick and smooth, reminiscent of rice soup. The aroma unfolds gradually, offering a full-bodied experience and a pleasant aftertaste.
