How to brew Jin Jun Mei black tea?

There are two methods to makes this loose leaf black tea:

Gongfu brewing

Brew 5 gram with 100 ml of water at 80 °C. Steep for 5 seconds and add 5 seconds for each next infusion.

Western brewing

Steep 3 gram with 500 ml of water at 80 °C. Apply a brewing time of 40 seconds and add 20 seconds for each next infusion.

lovely tea

Really good value for the price, same style as yunnan gold, I would say that yunnan gold is slightly better but jin jun mei is already really good

Brewing: 5g/100ml, 80°C, 5s, +5s.

Warmed-up dry leaves smell of dark chocolate, cherries, flowers and smoked bacon. When wet, the smell of bacon intensifies.

The liquor tastes of cherries, warm spices and chicken soup. This umami flavour is nothing short of spectacular. There are other delicate notes waiting to be discovered in the background, but the meat-like umami is front and centre - and deservedly so.

A few notes about the name: real Jin Jun Mei is extremely rare and extremely expensive, so replicas abound. These "tribute bands" strive to mimic the original's fruitiness and appearance (100% golden buds). The wonderful tea sold here looks more like a "Yunnan Gold" Dian Hong, with half golden buds and half black leaves. I guess the unique taste qualified it for a more prestigious label.

Definitely my favorite black tea at the moment. You can sense notes of chocolate and honey along with a good regular black tea taste.
