A premium Yunnan sun-dried black tea (Shai Hong) harvested in the spring of 2025. Crafted from the local large-leaf tea trees of Fengqing, this tea offers a wonderfully smooth texture and rich honey-fruit notes. It is carefully hand-rolled into convenient 5g single-serving balls (dragon balls).

A Honey-Sweet Taste

Each 5g ball features tightly rolled, thick, dark black leaves beautifully woven with golden downy buds. The dry aroma is intensely sweet, carrying notes of honey and wild flowers. The tea brews into a crystal-clear, bright amber and golden-red liquor with a rich, glossy appearance in the cup. Every sip reveals notes of sweet honey and ripe fruits, while the mouthfeel is exceptionally smooth. Because bitterness and astringency are extremely low, it leaves a clean, lingering sweet aftertaste (Hui Gan). It can be resteeped many times without losing its flavor.

The perfect choice for those who love Yunnan Gold but prefers something slightly more robust and intense.

Traditional Sun-Drying

Most commercial black teas are dried quickly using high-temperature machine dryers. This tea follows the traditional, slow Sun-Dried (Shai Hong) method. After the fresh spring leaves are wilted, rolled, and oxidized, they are spread out to dry naturally in the sunlight. By avoiding harsh machine heat, the natural fruit and honey aromas inherent to the large-leaf varietal are fully preserved. This gentle method preserves the leaves' internal nutrients, resulting in a remarkably smooth texture with almost no bitterness, while allowing the tea to gradually improve in flavor over years of storage.

Fengqing County

The tea leaves are harvested from the local tea plants in the mountainous terrain of Fengqing County, Lincang, Yunnan. This region features an impressive vertical ecology, with altitudes spanning from 919 meters up to 3100 meters, averaging around 1600 meters above sea level. The clean mountain air, rich soil, and drastic temperature shifts between day and night allow the tea trees to slowly accumulate a high concentration of amino acids and aromatic compounds, giving this tea its distinctively rich and smooth character.
