Vegan Loofah Coaster, Loofah Trivet for Teapots and Cups

Handmade from natural, plant-based loofah, these vegan minimalist trivet discs add a simple, organic touch to the tea table while protecting both your teaware and the surfaces beneath it.

Naturally durable, elastic and absorbent, loofah helps cushion teapots, cups and pitchers, reducing scratches on their feet and bases as well as on plates, tea trays and tables. Its fibrous structure also muffles the clinking sound that can occur when teaware is placed directly on hard surfaces.

When dry, the trivet feels relatively firm. As it absorbs tea or water during use, it gradually softens and becomes more flexible, increasing its cushioning, sound-dampening and protective effect.

Made entirely from a plant-based material, these loofah trivets are vegan, biodegradable and compostable. They require very little maintenance: after use, simply leave them to dry thoroughly in a dry, well-ventilated area. Over time, tea may gradually tint the fibres, creating a deeper patina that gives each trivet more character with continued use.

Because each piece is handmade from natural loofah, slight variations in colour, fibre density, shape and texture are normal, and the colour may not be perfectly even.
