How to make this Shen Shan Lao Shu tea cake?
There are two methods to prepare this pu erh tea cake :
Gongfu brewing
Brew 6 gram with 120 ml of water at 100 °C. Apply for 15 seconds for the first 3 steeps and add 5 seconds for each next infusion.
Western brewing
Steep 3 gram with 350 ml of water at 100 °C. Apply a brewing time of 2-3 minutes and add 1 minutes for each subsequent infusion.

The leaves are spread on bamboo trays to wither.

The withered leaves are heated to halt oxidation.

Tea leaves are rolled to release their aroma.

Rolled leaves are spread on bamboo mats to sun-dry.

The leaves are post-fermented in a controlled environment.

The post fermented tea is steamed & compressed.
