Exceptional tea for everyday. I am not very experienced tea connoisseur, but true tea lover acquainted with main tea types.

I have not tried before anything similar. I could compare the smell to some light earth or heated slightly burnt wood, but for me it would be distant approximates. The true comparison is the the deeply appetising and at the same time satiating smell and taste of rich bread crust, with light sweetness and light vanilla hints. So yes cookies the first commenter noted, is the right comparison.

If you like bakery goods, then this tea will satisfy you.

Smooth flavor, mineral undertones

A lovely red tea, sweet, deep and smooth flavor and also very interesting mineral notes, smells similar to spiced cookies when dry heated in the gaiwan.

It's such a pleasure to read your review, and we're glad you noticed the 'mineral' note. This is one of the benefits of using a cultivar from Wuyishan that's normally used for producing oolong tea. The mineral style of this region really shines through, even if it's used to produce a black tea.
