How to make this Dayi 'Amber Brick' ripe pu erh tea?
There are two methods to prepare this pu erh tea:
Gongfu method
Brew 1 small cube with 100 ml of water at 95-100 °C. Rinse for 10 seconds to loosen up the tea leaves, and discard the water. Apply a steeping time of 20 seconds for the first steep and 10 seconds for the second steep. From the third to the sixth infusion, apply a 5-second steep. Afterward, gradually increase the steeping time according to your taste.
Western method
Steep 1 small cube with 500 ml of water at 95-100 °C. Apply a brewing time of 1.5 minutes and add 2 minutes for each subsequent infusion.

How this ripe pu erh tea is made

Tea leaves are hand-picked in the morning.

The leaves are spread on bamboo trays to wither.

The withered leaves are heated to halt oxidation.

Tea leaves are rolled to release their aroma.

Sun drying
Rolled leaves are spread on bamboo mats to sun-dry.

The leaves are post-fermented in a controlled environment.

Pressing
The post fermented tea is steamed & compressed.

Packaging
The compressed tea is wrapped in paper & packed in boxes.
Good ripe. Sweet and smooth, dark liquor, nice astringency appears after the 3rd steep.
