Chinese Porcelain Tea Caddy, Colourful Floral Enamel 175 ml

This Chinese tea caddy is made from porcelain and decorated with a colourful floral enamel pattern that covers almost the entire exterior, including the lid. Shades of blue, green, purple and orange create a cheerful, eye-catching design, while the textured enamel surface gives the caddy extra depth and character.

The combination of its floral decoration, porcelain body and traditional form gives this porcelain tea caddy a charming antique look. Although newly made, its richly patterned finish has the decorative feel of an old Chinese ceramic piece, making it just as attractive on display as it is practical for storing tea.

The caddy has a compact square shape with softly rounded edges, so it sits comfortably in the hand. Its porcelain construction gives it a substantial, high-quality feel, with a weight of approximately 220 g.

With a capacity of around 175 ml, the amount of tea the caddy can hold varies depending on the size, shape and density of the leaves. As a practical reference, we tested it with several teas: approximately 70 g of Jasmine Pearls, 60 g of Lapsang Souchong, 40 g of Tie Guan Yin, or 25 g of Da Hong Pao.

The porcelain body and lid protect the tea from light. The inside of the lid is finished with woven cloth, helping create a snug fit and providing additional protection against moisture.

This porcelain tea caddy is a beautiful choice for storing a favourite loose leaf tea and works especially well for Chinese teas such as oolong, black tea, jasmine tea and other whole-leaf teas. Its colourful antique-inspired appearance also makes it a decorative addition to a tea table, shelf or tea room.
