Western method

Infuse 1/3 chunk of tea with 500ml water at a temperature of 80ºC and steep for 2 minutes. For a second steep increase the steeping time to 3 minutes

Traditional method

Infuse 1/3 chunk of tea with 100ml water at 100ºC and rinse for 20 seconds and discard. Apply a 10 second steeping time for the first 1-3 steeps. Increase the steeping time by 5 seconds for every next steep.
