Steeping temperature: 100ºC

Western Method: Steep 1 Shou Mei tea ball with 500ml of water for 1.5 minutes. After the first steep apply the following steeping times for the next steeps: 1, 1.5, 3 minutes

Traditional method: Steep 1 Shou Mei white tea ball with 100ml of water and steep for 40 seconds. After the first steep apply the following steeping times for the next steeps: 25, 15, 15, 20, 20, 30 seconds.

As a lifelong tea drinker of roughly 65 years, my taste has evolved over time. I began with strong black teas before moving on to appreciate green teas. Over the years, however, I developed a sensitivity to caffeine. Fortunately, I discovered white teas, which have been a wonderful match. In particular, the 2019 Aged White Tea Balls are ideal; they allow me to enjoy a delightful cup in the morning and steep the exact same leaves again in the afternoon without any negative caffeine reactions.

A very nice white tea

A very nice white tea, remarkably sweet and fragrant with a very well rounded and smooth body thanks to the seven years of aging. The only critique I have is that the centre of the ball takes quite a while to get hydrated and open up, even after around 7 steeps(which, in all fairness, were relatively short) I had to pull it apart by hand to give the leaves in the middle a chance to steep and the ones right in the centre were still dry.

Thank you for the kind words and the very fair critique! The compressed balls do hold their shape stubbornly. We recommend to do a 30 second rinse at full temperature first, and then start steeping.

Utazó fehér golyó

Régóta kedvelem az érlelt fehér teákat.Ez is egy lágy, édeskés tea, kevéssé mézes, inkább gyógynövényes, szilva befőttes.Sok éves sheng puerre emlékeztet, főleg hosszabb áztatással, de semmi keserűség nincs benne.Külföldre is vittem, remekül felezhető, többször felönthető, a forrázat illatát nem lehet megunni.Indán nyárhoz való tea.

Deze thee heb ik meerdere keren geïnfuseerd. Hij is zacht, maar heeft wel een diepere smaak. Bij de eerste sessie heb ik water van 70 graden Celsius gebruikt. 🤭
Bij de tweede heb ik 100 graden Celsius gebruikt, zoals het hoort. Dan zie je dat de bladeren veel sneller loskomen en dat ook de smaak van de thee sneller naar voren komt.

Vrm très bon, le rapport qualité prix est vrm incroyable je recommande à 100%. Un goût très doux et même presque un goût de miel. Très bon au gong fu cha ou avec une méthode plus occidental.

Really, really good. Especially considering the price! A really floral and honey-sweet scent with an aroma of honey, flowers and some mild grassy notes. Im not a tea expert but this is a really good daily tea with some premium aged sweetness but with a price tag for the daily drinker who doesnt make a lot, like me.
