2014 下关 五谷丰登 熟普洱茶

Great tea! This got me an amazing tea buzz, I lost count on the number of steeps I got from this, but it was A LOT. The taste is very balanced and very hard to place. It’s not just floral, fruity or earthy but a combination of them all. I don’t think you can get sick of this and buying a full cake is a good idea.

The taste of this tea is very entertaining. It's one of those pu erhs you can't fully place in the floral, fruity or herbal aroma category. To me it sits right in between floral and fruity. I taste the floral aroma of jasmine and roses as well as tropical fruits. Lovely sweet after taste of malt and biscuits. Lots of steeps too! very satisfied!

This is currently my day-to-day tea. I drink it on workdays as the tea doesn't give me too much of a tea buzz, but the energy of the tea feels clear and helps me focus. The tea has a distinct 'Xiaguan flavor' - something I can't really name, but I taste in all the teas of the Xiaguan factory. It has a slightly roasted aroma, with a little bit of bitterness and astringency, but a smooth, warm taste after taste. I definitely taste the red and golden hues of autumn in this tea, but it does not stand out in it's aromas and is therefor a little bit overpriced for me.
