Le Tai Ping Hou Kui, également connu sous le nom de thé du roi singe, est peut-être le plus beau thé vert de Chine. Laissez vos papilles gustatives se délecter d'un arôme doux et frais de printemps, suivi d'un arrière-goût de châtaignes chaudes et d'un umami subtil d'algues marines.
Ce thé est originaire du village de Hou Keng, dans la région montagneuse de Huang Shan, province de l'Anhui. Avec ses couches complexes de saveurs et son charme esthétique particulier, le Tai Ping Hou Kui vous comblera à chaque gorgée. Il n'est pas étonnant que ce thé vert chinois raffiné ait été autrefois réservé à la cour impériale.

Western method
Infuse 4 grams of tea with 500ml water at a temperature of 80ºC and steep for 3 minute. For a second steep increase the steeping time by 2 minutes.
Traditional method
Infuse 5 grams of tea with 100ml water at 80ºC and steep for 20 seconds. Increase the steeping time by 10 seconds for every next steep.
Cold-brewing
For cold-brewing you may use a bottle, jug, teapot or any brewing vessel that has a lid. Use 10 grams of tea per 500ml of cold water. Cover the brewing vessel with a lid, and store in the fridge for 6 hours.

Amazing gentle flavor. Visually the tea is stunning as well, which adds to the joy of preparing it. I prefer lowering the advised water temperature a little bit further, as my first try came out a bit too bitter.

Very good twa
The first time I tried it I was shocked at how sweet and light it was. The leaves are long and beautiful, the smell is incredible, taste and fragrance as well. The colour is a very light and pure green. If I was forced to only ever drink one kind of green tea from now on, I would pick this one without a second thought.

This tea shows excellent quality in every detail. The carefully processed leaves reflect skillful craftsmanship, resulting in a clean, refined, and consistent brew. The clarity and balance remain stable across multiple infusions, clearly demonstrating a high standard of production and attention to detail.
I bought it together with the "grandpa style" glass tea mug and was not disappointed. It has a nice nutty and clean taste, not overly green or hay-like, which I like. The size of the leaves is, even though I had seen pictures beforehand, really that different from other green teas.

Notes of watermelon rind and fresh cut grass, almost creamy. Even during very long steeps the bitterness is quite mild and pleasant
Brewing: 5g/100ml, 80°C, 20s, +5s.
Warmed-up dry leaves smell like watermelon rind, flowers and toasted hazelnuts. When wet, camphor and spinach notes appear.
The liquor is rich in leafy green vegetable flavours, complimented beautifully by a nutty aftertaste.
The product is as expected and they went out of their way to make sure I get my order because it was an international shipping which at some point seemed lost in translation; but they helped me track it down with my locals and all ended up great. thank you!

This green tea is my all time favourite tea, recently it has become harder to find in Europe for a good price, and I'm so happy that Teasenz was able to stock it for such a bargain. 13 euro for 70g is an amazing price nowadays and the offered quality is actually quite high. I wasn't disappointed in the slightest, good tea puts me in a good mood and this Taiping did just that.

Au lieu de représenter la vie quotidienne des habitants de la capitale chinoise (comme dans l'œuvre originale), nous illustrons le processus de fabrication du thé par les agriculteurs, adoptant la même perspective à vol d'oiseau.
En observant notre design d'emballage en détail, les amateurs de thé pourront découvrir les étapes de production : les cultivateurs cueillant, séchant, roulant et torréfiant les feuilles de thé. Le thé est ensuite dégusté dans un pavillon, puis transporté par des chevaux le long de « l’ancienne route du thé ».
L’alliance entre le paysage traditionnel chinois et le thème de la fabrication du thé symbolise l'héritage, la tradition et le respect pour le dur labeur des cultivateurs de thé.
