Il est un pu erh brut typique au goût léger et doux, mais rempli d'un arôme floral intense et rafraîchissant. La douceur du miel qui met l'eau à la bouche et la saveur accessible en font l'un des meilleurs thés pour le buveur de thé pu erh brut débutant, tandis que l'arôme complexe sera apprécié par les buveurs expérimentés.

Lingcang, Mengku (2250m)

La série 215 Da Xue Shan, est produite par Oripuerlab depuis 2013, et en raison de la popularité, cette galette revient pour la 10e fois en 2022. Pendant 9 années consécutives, cette galette a été entièrement vendue, et 2022 ne sera pas différente. Il s'agit d'une galette de thé pu erh brut fabriquée à partir des feuilles de la montagne Da Xue à Lingcang, Mengku, à une altitude de 2250m.

Note : Oripuerlab est également connu sous le nom de 'Jee-Puer' ou 'Ji Pu Hao'.

Comment préparer le thé

How to make Da Xue Shan 215?

There are two methods to prepare this pu erh tea cake:

Gongfu brewing

Brew 6 gram with 120 ml of water at 100 °C. Steep for 10 seconds for the first steep to loosen up the tea leaves. Apply a steeping time of 5 seconds for the second and third steep. Afterwards, gradually increase the steeping time according to your taste.

Western brewing

Steep 4 gram with 350 ml of water at 100 °C. Apply a brewing time of 40 seconds and add 20 minutes for each subsequent infusion.

Tip: This tea taste the best when brewed light, so that the aroma can be enjoyed at its fullest.

too balanced

This is a weird one. (7 g mini cake) Low astringency, no smoke, low fermentation. There is nothing that could be bad about this tea and somehow this is why it lacks character. I could see what they were going for - the mouthfeel is more on the back and the throat not on the tongue, and it develops well with continuous flushes. Seems to me a like a sheng that's as close to green tea as possible. I think it's a good tea for a particular drinker, but I'd like a bit more astringency to be honest. The fresh sheng that worked for me instead was velvet mountain.

You’re right, this tea is part of Oripuerlab’s more entry-level series. It was intended to have a gentler profile, with a softer overall character, making it suitable for people who are newer to pu-erh or simply prefer a milder style.

But we can also understand how, for someone looking for more intensity and structure, it may come across as a little too balanced. For sure, Velvet Mountain delivers more bitterness and young sheng character, and we are really glad you like it!

But I did try several guides and it wasn't anything special.

There are so many other amazing teas.

The coin opens nicely in the gaiwan. Inital smell is deeply sweet with floral and certain 'animalic qualities to it'. I can brew this tea easily for 7 and more brews. Taste, like aroma is floral and fruity, with a oily texture. Later brews give more astringency and minerality in a enjoyable fashion. I am happy with this tea!
