Cette galette de thé pu erh cuit est un témoignage de la qualité de ses matières premières : Les feuilles de thé utilisées pour cette galette sont récoltées sur des arbres à Daxueshan. La combinaison d'une altitude élevée (2250m) et d'une forte humidité donne des feuilles de thé riches en polyphénols, qui se transforment en substances aromatiques riches comme la théabrownine. Le résultat après un traitement et une fermentation minutieux : un thé pu erh cuit, sucré, malté et moelleux, à la texture épaisse et visqueuse.
La galette 317 a un aspect parfaitement rond et les bords bien serrés. On peut observer des bourgeons dorés sur la surface de la galette. La soupe au thé est brillante, transparente, et rappelle un vin rouge puissant. Pendant les premières préparations, vous apprécierez la soupe moelleuse et épaisse, tandis que le goût devient lentement plus léger et plus rafraîchissant. Vous commencerez alors à remarquer un arôme doux et malté d'orge.

How to make this Oripuerlab 317 tea?
There are two methods to prepare this pu erh tea cake:
Gongfu brewing
Brew 8 gram with 120 ml of water at 100 °C. Steep for 15 seconds for the first steep to loosen up the tea leaves, followed by 5 second steeps until the 7th steep. Afterwards, gradually increase the steeping time according to your taste.
Western brewing
Steep 4 gram with 350 ml of water at 100 °C. Apply a brewing time of 30 seconds and add 15 minutes for each subsequent infusion.

Picking
Tea leaves are hand-picked in the morning.

The leaves are spread on bamboo trays to wither.

Rolled leaves are spread on bamboo mats to sun-dry.

Our design work is inspired by the artwork “Along the River During the Qingming Festival” by the Zhang Zeduan in the Song Dynasty. Instead of displaying the daily lives of people in the capital of China (as the original artwork), we display the tea making process of farmers through the same bird’s eye perspective.
When examining our packaging design in detail, tea enthusiasts will observe the tea making process, featuring tea farmers picking, drying, rolling, and frying tea leaves. The tea is then tasted in a pavilion and transported by horses along the ‘ancient tea road’.
Together, the traditional Chinese landscape and tea making theme, symbolise heritage, tradition, and respect for hard work of tea farmers.
