This tea is quickly becoming one of my new favorites. I love the mild aroma of fragrant rice in combination with the earthy taste of the tea. It's perfect for my breakfast gongfu cha. After the first steep it takes on a beautiful dark color, it's not bitter at all, not even when brewed in a small 100ml gaiwan. I'll have to order more of this soon. :)

This tea has the best dry fragrance ever

This tea has the best dry fragrance ever. These mini tuos exude an aroma of cooked, steamy sticky rice thta brings me right back to childhood. The brewed soup also smells like this, albeit to a lesser degree. The pu-erh itself is nothing special: mellow, flat, no real depth. It is warming and comforting though. A good pu-erh for people that haven't drank a lot of pu-erh yet.

Incredible

Incredible tea. It has a nice roasted rice flavour, and is not too strong like many other shou puerhs. Fits my palette perfectly, definitely my favourite ripe puerh so far. My only regret is that I just bought a sample. I will need to order again soon!

Full, creamy, soft tasting tea! One of my favorites, full but not heavy, great to last a winters day!

Amazing tea

Amazing tea, very complex flavour. Even though the first few cups mildly upset my stomach, they're already in my shopping basket for my next order.
After 2 cups my stomach got used to the tea

First time I drank this (new to ripe Pe Erh) I was disgusted and hated it. I was told it is an aquired taste, and this is true: it now is one of my favorite teas, and I love to drink it in the dark season!

Brewing: 1 piece/80ml, 100°C, 25s, 15s, 10s, +5s.

Warmed-up dry leaves smell mostly like the aromatic herb: burned rice. When wet, fancy wood, tobacco and spices come out.

The liquor is rich with with woody and earthy notes, like forest ground after rain, blended wonderfully with boiled rice that started getting burned because the water evaporated. It's a very good combination, that even purists will appreciate - just like jasmine and green tea.

It's OK to brew the "mini tuo-cha" piece with less water than recommended, because shou pu-erh only gets better when it's more concentrated. There is no bitterness or astringency to worry about.
