Hei Jin Sha Yixing Clay

Yixing ware made from this clay type has a darker appearance relative to traditional purple clay. The colour is nearly black and has a satin gloss appearance. The manually prepared Hei Jin Sha clay has somewhat coarse texture with little orange and white dots known as 'tierong' and 'mica'. These indicate excellent quality clay.
