FAQ

When should you buy a teapot versus a mug?

A tea mug with a filter and lid is perfect for limited spaces and when you need just one piece of teaware for both brewing and drinking tea. For example, such a mug could be perfect for use in office. Conversely, a teapot is better for home use, when you've the time and space to enjoy the full tea brewing process.

What kind of tea is best brewed in glass teapots?

We recommend using glass teapots for brewing low-temperature teas like green and white tea. However, with preheating, they are also suitable for high-temperature teas such as black tea and Oolong tea.

How to use a tea mug / teapot with a filter?

Here are the steps for brewing tea:

  1. Preheat your mug or teapot with hot water (this is only necessary for teas that require brewing at high-temperature) and discard the water.
  2. Put the desired amount of tea leaves into the filter and insert it into the mug/teapot.
  3. Pour water into the mug/teapot and cover it with the lid.
  4. Enjoy watching the tea leaves dance and steep in the water for the recommended time.
  5. Uncover the mug/teapot and use the lid as a convenient coaster for the filter.
  6. Remove the filter and place it on the coaster.
  7. Let the tea cool down, then enjoy!

Is the glass material heat-resistant and safe to use?

Our teapots and mugs are made from borosilicate glass, known for its very low coefficient of thermal expansion. As a result, it will not crack under extreme temperature changes like regular glass and has very high heat resistance. However, its ability to retain heat is not as good as clay. Therefore, we suggest preheating your teapot and mug to brew high-temperature teas, such as black tea.

How to clean my glass teaware?

Glass teapots and mugs are highly hygienic and easy to clean. They are dishwasher-safe and can be washed with soap. Use a non-abrasive sponge and rinse thoroughly to remove any soap residue. Dry and polish with a clean, soft towel.
