The "Xiao Fa Tuo" or "Sell To France" tuo is a classic Xiaguan ripe pu erh tea that has been enjoyed by tea enthusiasts since the 1970s. As the first official export pu erh to the West (France) it carries a rich history. It's exceptionally smooth, engulfing the senses in a camphor and wood fragrance while delighting one's taste buds with its inherent sweet aftertaste. Highly versatile, this tea can be stored for further aging or enjoyed now.

How to Steep

How to make Xiaguan Xiao Fa tea?

There are two methods to prepare this pu erh tuo cha tea:

Gongfu brewing

Brew 8 gram with 120 ml of water at 100 °C. Steep for 15 seconds and add 5 seconds for each infusion.

Western brewing

Steep 4 gram with 350 ml of water at 100 °C. Apply a brewing time of 2-3 minutes and add 1 minutes for each subsequent infusion.

    Rolled leaves are spread on bamboo mats to sun-dry.

Nice young tuocha

One of the tuocha classics from Xiaguan... It's only two years old, so I think I will store the rest for a couple of years, but it's definitely drinkable already. You can taste the young age, but there are no funky notes... Very digestive and easy to drink.

Good tea

It is a decent Shu Puerh but for me it has a bit flat taste. Wanted to try new tea, not I understand that Shy Puerh with more buds for me better
But still this tea for rainy or cloudy weather can be a good option!

Delightful tea. Comes in a beautyful box. The tea is pressed in nest formed cake. It has very nice woody aroma. I love it. I think its a beautyful gift for Puer Lovers. I will definetly take some more as long as they are in stock :-)
