Green Clay Yixing Teapot 'Wild Tomato' by Jingjing Li 160ml

A 100% handmade teapot by certified Yixing artist Jingjing Li. It belongs to a category of nature inspired teapots known as 'Fang Sheng' (bionic) teapots. These pots are one of the hardest to make and requires years of training.

With more than 30 years of experience, Ms. Li has beautifully crafted this teapot in the shape of a 'wild tomato'. It's made from a combination of purple clay (spout, handle & inner layer of the pot) and green clay (outside of the teapot body). The idea of using green clay is to have the teapot resemble a tomato that isn't yet ripe. Hence, the green colour.

The teapot has a round built in filter in the spout. It's relatively small size (approximately 6x11cm / 160ml), which makes it ideal prepare tea for 1-2 tea lovers.
