'Whispering Earth' is Teasenz’s first ripe pu erh tea cake, co-curated by 10 pu erh enthusiasts from our community.
Our 'Whispering Earth' pu erh tea is now also available in convenient, travel-friendly mini cakes. Each piece is perfectly portioned at 7 grams for an uplifting gongfu session. For a lighter, single-person session, the cake can be easily broken in half (3.5g).
Enjoy true grab-and-go convenience: you no longer need a tea knife to pry large cakes, or a tea scoop and scale to measure loose tea. Simply take one and steep.

How to steep ‘Whispering Earth’ mini cakes?
Traditional method: Break the mini cake in 2 pieces and use 1 half with 100ml of water at 100ºC. Rinse the tea for 20 seconds (infuse in hot water for 20 seconds and discard the tea). Steep the tea for 20 seconds for the first steep and 10 seconds for the 2nd to the 4th steep. Afterwards, gradually increase the steeping time.
Western method: Steep half a mini cake with 500ml of water at 100ºC. Steep the tea for 3 minutes for the first brew, then re-steep for 4 minutes for the second preparation.

Tea leaves are hand-picked in the morning.

The leaves are spread on bamboo trays to wither.

Rolled leaves are spread on bamboo mats to sun-dry.

This is a delicious tea. A pleasure to drink. Though it doesn't brew quite as many times as my absolute favorite, it's very easy to see why this was the choice for so many drinkers that they polled for this. A special and lovely tea. I love that it was picked by drinkers in blind taste tests.
