This 613 raw pu erh from Oripuerlab stands out with its floral complexity, and a bold, verdant aftertaste. Starting with a high digit of '6' it belongs to the premium collection of the brand's raw pu erh teas, making it suitable for true pu erh connoisseurs.

Harvested in Bangdong, Lincang, at 1550 meters altitude, this tea is crafted from high-quality leaves grown in a rich, mountainous environment.

Expect a layered flavor profile of wildflower honey sweetness and beeswax. The floral aroma is incredibly powerful and yet refined, and the tea soup features a bright hue. The texture is amazingly thick, leaving a satisfying mouthfeel that lasts.

Bangdong Origin

Although Bangdong has rocky, sandy terrain, the tea trees grow stubbornly in this area. The frequent fog nurtures the tea leaves, while the roots absorb minerals and oxygen deep into the soil. This results in leaves with high amino acid content, producing a fresh, vibrant tea with a distinct 'sunny' taste that sets it apart from other ancient tree pu erh teas.

About 613: Pillow on a Stone

The tea cake 'Zhen Shi' (枕石) translates to 'pillow on a stone,' symbolizing a life of seclusion in the mountains. This poetic name reflects the origin of the tea leaves, which come from tea trees thriving at high altitudes in the serene mountain landscape.

All Oripuerlab teas use a 3-digit serial system that reflects grade, origin, and the tea cake composition (buds to leaves ratio):
  • 6: High-grade, advanced level, ideal for advanced drinkers
  • 1: Sourced from the Lincang region
  • 3: Level 3 (30-40% of buds)
