Brew your perfect cup of tea

Beautiful and superfine tea strainers, available in the colours gold and silver. They're ideal to place on top of your tea pitcher, preventing small leaves and tea particles from entering it. Thus, allowing you to serve a perfect, crystal clear cup of tea. These leaf strainers are very thin and can also be used as bookmarkers.

Why use strainers?

Note: When preparing tea the traditional way, the tea is always first transferred from a teapot into a pitcher. The tea is then served from the pitcher into small tea cups. Why? Because steeping times are very short when it comes to traditional tea making, every cup would taste different when served directly from a teapot into tea cups. Hence, tea pitchers are also called 'fairness pitchers' in China.

A beautiful leaf

First, the downside it still let some very small leaf fragment and dust (under half a millimeter) which is completely acceptable but it can have a suction effect on the gong dao bei when wet which can block a bit the flow when pouring. But it's sufficiently good visually to make up for it. It can serve as a part of a decor or as a tea pet.

Pretty but not very practical

Due to the flat shape, this filter is a bit of a pain as tea can easy go off the side and make a mess. There is another strainer similar in appearance but with a better funnel-like shape, which I guess is much better at the job. Still, it's hard to complain when I got this for free with my order, and it is for sure beautiful. :)
