This Tenmoku tea cup, also called a 'Jian Zhan' cup, follows the traditional Song Dynasty style. Its 'Hundred Flowers' blue-silver glaze is achieved by firing the cup at 1300ºC.

The bowl has an elegant 'Bo shape' (钵型) inspired by the alms bowls Buddhist monks use to collect food offerings each day.
