Ceramic Chinese Tea Caddy for Loose Tea with Bamboo Lid

These ceramic tea caddies combine practical storage with playful decorative designs inspired by nature. Each one has its own character, from stylised ocean waves to a panda beneath a persimmon tree, a curious kitten surrounded by flowers, and an elegant green agate-like glaze.

All four caddies are made from glazed ceramic or porcelain, with the interior glazed just like the exterior for a smooth, easy-to-clean finish. They are topped with natural bamboo lids fitted with a snug inner seal, helping keep the contents protected during everyday storage. The ceramic body also shields the contents from light and helps buffer them from changes in ambient temperature.

Although designed primarily for loose-leaf tea, the caddies can also be used to store herbs, spices or coffee. Their compact size makes them practical for keeping a favourite tea or ingredient close at hand without taking up too much space on a tea table, kitchen shelf or cabinet.

Each caddy comes presented in a beautiful gift box decorated with a Chinese-painting-inspired print, making them especially suitable as a gift for tea lovers.

Wondering Kitten Tea Caddy

The largest of the four, this caddy features a wide-eyed kitten sitting among flowering branches. Its softly crackled glaze adds texture and a subtle antique character, contrasting nicely with the playful relief decoration. The fine crackle pattern is an intentional feature of the glaze and may vary naturally from piece to piece, so these variations should not be considered defects.

Agate Dream Tea Caddy

Agate Dream has a quieter, more organic character, with a softly variegated green glaze reminiscent of the shifting colours and patterns found in natural agate stone. Shades of mossy green, olive and earthy brown blend irregularly across the porcelain body, giving the surface depth and making every caddy visually distinctive.

• Capacity: approx. 240 ml
• Dimensions: approx. 8.3 × 8 cm
• Opening diameter: approx. 5.5 cm
• Weight: approx. 230 g
• Material: porcelain & variegated agate-like green glaze
• Lid: bamboo with snug non-woven fabric seal

Because loose tea leaves vary greatly in size, shape and density, the actual amount of tea each caddy can hold will depend on the type of tea. Compact rolled teas will naturally fit in larger quantities than light, bulky leaves.
