شاي شياقوان تي جي راو بو إره توتشا

The dry leaf smells simply delicious. The scent of aged burley tobacco, leather, and a hint of smoke fills the nose. The tea was washed once and then consumed at 100 degrees Celsius. The first two infusions are characterized by a smoky note that is by no means unpleasant. Infusions 3 to 5 have strong tannins that overpower the tea, but this definitely changes from infusion 6 onwards. There are wonderful woody aromas reminiscent of old wine barrels, leather, a medicinal-herbal note reminiscent of very old white tea, and an aroma reminiscent of English pipe tobacco blends with oriental tobaccos on the finish. A truly strong and expressive tea that definitely deserves to be explored further, just not on an empty stomach

I really enjoyed this from the very first brew! I picked up a slight smoky licorice note which was very nice! Otherwise full bodied and well balanced. Tightly packed.

The classical taste of Xiaguan in a very good tuocha

One of the best aged teas I've had, very well rounded flavor, deep, and funky with a pleasant and lingering aftertaste. The tea is pressed quite tightly, so breaking off pieces is difficult to do without breaking the leaves more than I would like, however, even the very broken up leaves steep very nicely and do not get bitter - a testament to the quality of this tea. After 19 years of aging, the wrapping paper is quite fragile and I tore it multiple times trying to wrap the teacake back up (luckily, I had some paper lying around from other teacakes that I had finished before and used that), handle with care!!!

The tea is very good quality. The taste is smoky, gradually turning into sour berry tea. I recommend it.
