An authentic Tie Guan Yin (Iron Goddess of Mercy) oolong tea from Anxi, Fujian. This light oolong tea features a thick texture and a smooth, vegetal and floral aroma.

It owes its name to a legend in which the Goddess of Mercy gave a tea shoot to a poor farmer. He planted it in its garden, and cultivated the finest tea with it. The word 'iron' in its name refers to the fact that this tea is rolled into tight pellets, and when it's dropped in a teapot, you'll hear a sound similar to dropping small pieces of iron.

Due to its difficult pronunciation, this tea is also often referred to as TGY. In some Chinese dialects it's also written like Ti Kuan Yin.

The most parfumed oolong that I tasted so far, I love every oolong but this one really reminds me of Taiwan great flower perfumed teas ( as a natural tea parfume, no flowers in this). I really love it, keep on buying it on kilos and I’m glad I can drink it every day…a day without tea is worst than a day with no rice

una bella esperienza, il migliore oloong che ho assaggiato, ricco di sorprendenti sfumature di vegetali, fiori e zuccheri, bellissime foglie intere di un verde brillante. Spero di trovarlo di nuovo in vendita.

The best oolong tea I had outside Taiwan and for a reasonable price. It has a very light and perfumed favour, my children love it as well.

Beautiful tea with lots of green nuances, ranging from light almost kakhi to dark wine bottles. Wet leafs are medium size, almost intact, with a beautiful forest green color. Aromas are complex, with heavy hitting orchid flowers and peach, but also more subtle hints of freshly baked buttered buns, roasted rice, wet rocks and sweet hay. The empty cup smells of buttered popcorn and marshmallow. Taste is sweet and intense and the aftertaste lasts a long time. I got 9 good steeps out of only 5 grams of leafs, to a 100ml gaiwan, which is pretty impressive for a Oolong. I highly recommend it. TEASENZ: Thank you so much for this wonderful and detailed review. We're glad you enjoyed it, and we hope this review will also help other visitors to make an informed choice.

Un’ottima esperienza, mi è piaciuto molto il sapore di questo te’!

Our design work is inspired by the artwork “Along the River During the Qingming Festival” by the Zhang Zeduan in the Song Dynasty. Instead of displaying the daily lives of people in the capital of China (as the original artwork), we display the tea making process of farmers through the same bird’s eye perspective.

When examining our packaging design in detail, tea enthusiasts will observe the tea making process, featuring tea farmers picking, drying, rolling, and frying tea leaves. The tea is then tasted in a pavilion and transported by horses along the ‘ancient tea road’.

Together, the traditional Chinese landscape and tea making theme, symbolise heritage, tradition, and respect for hard work of tea farmers.
