An intense black tea with a natural sweetness that reminds one of caramel and brown sugar. There's also hints of tobacco and oak, which whiskey lovers will find surprisingly similar to their favourite liquor.

Our Keemun Black (or 'Qi Men Hong') is sourced straight from Qimen County in Anhui province of China. The dry tea appears intense black in colour and the small tea leaves are rolled gently in a curly shape. It's the perfect choice for those who love robust and naturally sweet black teas.

The quality of this Keemun tea is totally different from the 'export tea' that's generally available outside of China. Because Keemun Black is part of the English Breakfast blend, mostly low quality, mass-produced Keemun tea is exported from China. With the Teasenz Keemun black tea, you can now taste the original flavour of Qimen county, which is highly appreciated by tea enthusiasts in China.

I'm glad I could order some before it was sold-out! This is a very comforting tea, with a strong, deep taste. It DOES remind me a lot of an old, slighlty peaty whiskey, with caramel, malt and woody notes, but barely any astringency. Perfect to wake up or drink during a cold day

Excelente té negro con un intenso sabor a miel. Uno de mis favoritos.

Aroma of chocolate, cream, toffee caramel and brown sugar. In flavor, it starts with cocoa, moves on to a woody touch, spices, fruit, honey and ends with a soft dairy and malt touch. A pleasure to be able to taste it either in the morning or in the afternoon.

Brewing: 4g/80ml, 85°C, 5s, +5s.

Warmed-up dry leaves smell fruity and flowery. When wet, woody notes join the party.

The liquor has that same lychee fruitiness (imagine a very toned down cherry, minus the sweetness), a delicate cocoa note and some exotic wood in the background - like sandalwood, but much more quiet - providing depth. Overall, a very balanced and sophisticated combination that takes the stage properly with the third kung-fu infusion. The aftertaste is mostly cocoa.

A very good Keemun indeed. Way better than the store bought kinds, we get in Denmark, which can only steep 2 times, and ends up tasting like paint.
Leaves look beautiful, and smells lovely of sweet dark malt, cocoa, like most Keemun teas. But it is more complex, and have a faint flowery note as well.
Taste is very good and deep - and not too roasted. Notes of chocolate, honey and sweets, ending in a slightly brothy taste after 5th or 6th steep.
Good tea for a great price! TEASENZ: Hi Danish, thank you so much for the detailed review. We're glad you liked it!

Our design work is inspired by the artwork “Along the River During the Qingming Festival” by the Zhang Zeduan in the Song Dynasty. Instead of displaying the daily lives of people in the capital of China (as the original artwork), we display the tea making process of farmers through the same bird’s eye perspective.

When examining our packaging design in detail, tea enthusiasts will observe the tea making process, featuring tea farmers picking, drying, rolling, and frying tea leaves. The tea is then tasted in a pavilion and transported by horses along the ‘ancient tea road’.

Together, the traditional Chinese landscape and tea making theme, symbolise heritage, tradition, and respect for hard work of tea farmers.
