My second favourite dan cong tried so far here. Light to medium oxidization. In comparison to the zhi lan xiang which is sweet, fruity and light, the duck shit is more on the savoury side, with a warmth to it. A really great tea.

Lovely

I know this is usually an entry point to more complex oolongs, and I definitely love a lot of interestingly complex teas. But this still remains one I like very much. It's classic. If you haven't tried it, you should.

A beautifully aromatic Dan Cong with real depth

Really impressed with this one. The dry leaf has a rich, honeyed aroma that carries straight through into the cup — much more complex than I expected for the price. The taste has that classic Dan Cong character: floral and fruity up front, with a smooth, lingering sweetness in the aftertaste. No bitterness or harshness even on later steeps, and it holds up well across many infusions. Great balance overall, and one I'll definitely be reordering.

Five star Duck Shit Oolong

Duck Shit Oolong is amongst my favorite teas, and this one from teasenz doesn't disappoint!

One of my most favorite teas

One of my most favorite teas. Honey and peach smell's are amazing. Brewing it in a bigger teapot requires to remove tea leaves from the teapot after 2min of brewing, because otherwise the best flavour disappear

Ya Shi Xiang (Duck Shit Aroma) Dan Cong – Refined Elegance and Floral Depth

This Ya Shi Xiang Dan Cong opens lightly, with a subtle pungent edge in the first infusion. From the second and third brews it becomes more expressive, revealing a clean, persistent floral aroma with a characteristic sharp, orchid-like aftertaste. The fourth infusion is the most convincing: more open, slightly mineral, and with a firmer, more defined flavor. Longer steeps bring out increasing mineral notes, while the last infusions feel lighter and more subdued. Overall, an interesting and well-made tea, elegant and aromatic, though its delicate floral pungency and light body.

Short steeps render a beautiful and sweet dancong

wet aroma is interesting: peat, moss, foliage, with some acridity. Short steeps render a beautiful and sweet dancong. Reminds me of Taiwanese high mountain beauty. Great tongue coating, sweet and floral

Heavenly tea!

I was genuinely surprised by this tea, I am just starting my journey in the world of dancong teas, but this one by far is the best one I've had. Maybe my palate is not mature enough to enjoy the more heavily roasted ones, but this tea just blows all of the other ones out of the water so far! Such an amazing experience of intense aroma every sip is! I was skeptical at first when buying tea from here, but I am not disappointed... still, I am in somewhat of a disbelief, how can I get tea for this price to be so good? But I digress, the Ya Shi Xiang character is in the spotlight with this one, and between each sip you take your taste buds just don't forget it. At first I was afraid to have a session with this a second time to not spoil the magic of the first session, but I was even more flabbergasted. I can really recommend this tea for someone who is looking to get into dancong, and someone who wants a highly enjoyable tea for a really reasonable price!

Amazing!

I could love this tea for the name alone but it is also very tasty. So glad that monk wasn't able to keep it for himself after all. ;)

great shit :-)

Duck shit oolong brews up a clear tea without any cloudiness. The taste of Ya Shi Xiang is sweet and intensely aromatic. This tea tastes quite fresh/light with deep undertones and nutty aftertaste A tea that ii buy regularly for the great quality and price balance.

This Phoenix tea is perfect. Utmost round in flavour and fragrance and well-balanced. Creamy in flavour and brings savoury rice notes in its smell. It has a nice culmination and burst of 'deliciousness' after four or five steeps. it leaves the mouth slightly dry and begs you for more and more.

Creamy and floral Dan Cong.

Lasts a while and is perfect for trying out Ya Shi for the first time to see if you like it.

Aroma of orchid and jasmine. Initial floral and intensely creamy flavor, transitions to honey and some fruit slightly. Finishes with a light mineral touch. Ideal to end the day.

Brewing: 5g/100ml, 100°C, 10s x 3, +5s.

Warmed-up dry leaves smell like flowers and grass. When wet, an exuberant aroma of candy, honey and spices comes out.

The liquor has the same flowery and spicy theme, with a beautiful intensity and depth.

Oolongs are usually cheerful and superficial, but this one is serious and heavy, like it has seen some shit. It clearly has an exciting story to tell - one that develops wonderfully, steep after steep, taking you to exotic places and leaving you better for it.
