Ein authentischer Tie Guan Yin (Eiserne Göttin der Barmherzigkeit) Oolong-Tee aus Anxi, Fujian. Dieser leichte Oolong-Tee verfügt über eine dicke Textur und ein weiches, pflanzliches und blumiges Aroma.
Seinen Namen verdankt er einer Legende, in der die Göttin der Barmherzigkeit einem armen Bauern einen Teesprossen schenkte. Er pflanzte ihn in seinen Garten und kultivierte damit den besten Tee. Das Wort „Eisen“ in seinem Namen bezieht sich auf die Tatsache, dass dieser Tee zu festen Pellets gerollt wird und wenn er in eine Teekanne fällt, hören Sie ein Geräusch, das dem Fall kleiner Eisenstücke ähnelt.
Aufgrund seiner schwierigen Aussprache wird dieser Tee auch oft als TGY bezeichnet. In manchen chinesischen Dialekten wird es auch wie Ti Kuan Yin geschrieben.

Western method
Infuse 4 grams of Tie Guan Yin oolong tea with 500 ml water at a temperature of 100ºC and steep for 3 minutes. For a second steep increase the steeping time to 5 minutes
Traditional method
Infuse 5 grams of Tie Guan Yin with 100ml water at 100ºC and steep for 20 seconds. For the second steep, apply a 15 second steeping time. Increase the steeping time by 5 seconds for every next steep.
Cold-brewing
For cold-brewing you may use a bottle, jug, teapot or any brewing vessel that has a lid. Use 8 grams of Tie Guan Yin tea per 500ml of cold water. Cover the brewing vessel with a lid, and store in the fridge for 5-8 hours.

This is one of the best oolong teas I have ever had.
Cheap Tie Guan Yin (TGY) is often mediocre and straightforward, yet easy to drink. This TGY is no exception. TGY can be much more complex and still be pretty affordable (especially compared to other oolongs). Hope that Teasenz will include a more interesting premium TGY option in the future.

When sourcing this Tie Guan Yin our intention was to curate one that's very representative of a traditional TGY and one that is loved by a wide audience. We don't agree that it is 'cheap', but rather one that offers good value for money. We do agree with you that we can explore the TGY space much more, and offer different styles of TGY as we do for other oolong teas such as Dancongs. It's something we'll definitely work on in the future!

The most parfumed oolong that I tasted so far, I love every oolong but this one really reminds me of Taiwan great flower perfumed teas ( as a natural tea parfume, no flowers in this). I really love it, keep on buying it on kilos and I’m glad I can drink it every day…a day without tea is worst than a day with no rice

The best oolong tea I had outside Taiwan and for a reasonable price. It has a very light and perfumed favour, my children love it as well.
Beautiful tea with lots of green nuances, ranging from light almost kakhi to dark wine bottles.
Wet leafs are medium size, almost intact, with a beautiful forest green color.
Aromas are complex, with heavy hitting orchid flowers and peach, but also more subtle hints of freshly baked buttered buns, roasted rice, wet rocks and sweet hay.
The empty cup smells of buttered popcorn and marshmallow.
Taste is sweet and intense and the aftertaste lasts a long time.
I got 9 good steeps out of only 5 grams of leafs, to a 100ml gaiwan, which is pretty impressive for a Oolong.

Bei genauer Betrachtung unseres Verpackungsdesigns werden Teeliebhaber den Teezubereitungsprozess beobachten, bei dem Teebauern Teeblätter pflücken, trocknen, rollen und braten. Der Tee wird dann in einem Pavillon verkostet und auf dem "alten Teeweg" mit Pferden transportiert.
Zusammen symbolisieren das traditionelle chinesische Landschaftsbild und das Thema der Teezubereitung Erbe, Tradition und Respekt vor der harten Arbeit der Teebauern.
