It's great to hear that your wife likes it! When we curate our teas, we there's no intent to make sure most people like it, but we do hope some out there truly love it. With regards to the softness of the needles, it's because they're buds, so after processing (sun-drying) a higher amount of water content remains. This is ok for this type of white tea, as such white tea also have some aging potential and become sweeter through proper storage. There's no artificial flavouring involved, the jasmine aroma is the result of covering the buds with fresh jasmine flowers, allowing them to absorb the aroma. The difference with common jasmine tea is that this scenting processed is repeated multiple times, to achieve a higher intensity of jasmine aroma. What also is a contributing factor is the mild tea flavor of our jasmine silver needle tea, and as a result the jasmine aroma is more pronounced. On the other hand, for our other jasmine teas, the green tea flavour is somewhat stronger, and counterbalances the jasmine scent more. For example, our Jasmine Deluxe features more way green tea flavour, while the Jasmine Snow Buds sits between the two. I hope this helps! Please sent our greetings to your wife :)
