I ordered this Da Hong Pao looking for a high-quality, full-bodied tea, and it certainly delivered. When brewed in a clay teapot, it produces a truly rich, satisfying liquor: you get that classic cliff-roast profile, yet it remains smooth without any harsh bitterness.

For me, this is the perfect go-to tea when I need to clear my head or gear up for a workout—it provides a clean, focused energy without any jitters. The aroma of the leaves is deep, woody, and slightly chocolatey, which is incredibly pleasant the moment you add the hot water. This is an honest, high-quality tea that doesn't feel 'empty' at all. The taste is balanced, the aroma is distinct but still delicate and pleasant, and the aftertaste is long and sweet.

The most famous Oolong. Perfection

Ho assaggiato tutti i vostri Oolong e il Da Hong Pao è il "Re"... non manca mai nelle mie scorte.
Fiorito, fruttato, legno e cereali. È un tè minerale con la giusta tostatura, solitamente lo bevo nei pomeriggi primaverili dove il sole ti fa contemplare la natura che si risveglia.

Excellent Quality and sophisticated nuances

Often these types of tea are either very bland or overwhelming.
This one tastes of a light roast, barley, malt, caramel.

Okay tea, burnt leaf

Well, I tried oolong samples first and then went to the bigger pack, and first time was a blast. Out of all producer farm oolongs that were offered, this one has the best flavor/smell ratio and gave the most. So I vent and ordered a bigger pack. Unfortunately after some practice I came to the conclusion that this tea comes lovely and aromatic in the beginning, but has taste of a flatter side and quickly fades away.

Also after examining tea base leaves are still black and hard that indicates that they are overly burned. While I cannot say that I am a big expert, that’s not the best sign.

So you either constantly putting more fresh leaves to get the taste and smell, or it is a tea for a short session. Half an hour, and you are done.
